Feb 2018.

Our partners in Costa Rica delivered umiforms to four boys and girls teams at three schools in Costa Rica.  Two of the schools are located in the Alajuela Province, west of San Jose.  The high school, Liceo La Conquista, is located in Sarapiqui, about 60 miles northeast of San Jose.  All three schools are very appreciative of their new gear and wish to thank everyone involved.

Special thanks to Brad Rosenbaum of Hemisphere Educational Travel in Schaumburg for connecting us with the right people to identify teams, transport gear, and distribute the items.  Also a huge thank you to Steve Maehl, Daniel Granados and Roy Peterson of the Global Travel Alliance and Global Doing Good for getting the equipment from the U.S into the hands of the kids.

Thank you to the KIF team and everyone who donated! A great team effort!

November drive update!

Dec 2018-

You did it!  You, the Ela  Family really came through! We collected over 200 items and were able to donate most of them right away!

We are proud to announce we are shipping over 60 complete uniforms to Costa Rica's La Conquista High School and the surrounding area's youth soccer programs.
We are working in conjunction with a non profit organization called Global Doing Good (globaldoinggood.org).  They provide service learning and student travel opportunities to assist Costa Rican communities.  They are planning a trip in January and they will transport, deliver and distribute the uniforms at that time.

The players pictured are from the 2 soccer teams at La Conquista High School, a small rural school in Costa Rica.

One special thing about this school is their extremely motivational coach,  Esteban. He is blind and participated with the Costa Rican National soccer team for the blind.

The uniforms the players are wearing were a donation from 3 years ago. They do not have enough for all the kids so when they go to play a game they need to share their uniforms.
