Ela Soccer Club purchases Kits Sports Center

Lake Zurich, IL  (December 7, 2017) - The Ela Soccer Club is proud to announce that today it has acquired the former Kits Sports Center in Lake Zurich, Illinois. Effective immediately the facility will now be known as the Lake Zurich Sportsplex.

The Lake Zurich Sportsplex is a 58,000 square foot multisport facility consisting of two full size indoor fields, one half size indoor field, one full size basketball /volleyball court, offices, meeting/party rooms, restrooms and locker rooms with showers.

“Today is a great win for Ela Soccer and the entire Lake Zurich community,” said Doug Anderson, Ela Soccer President. “Ela Soccer continues to set the standard as one of the best youth soccer organizations and becomes one of the only youth soccer clubs in the area with its own Indoor Facility. Our players will have unmatched training and game opportunities that will further enhance their soccer skills and experience. The entire area also benefits as the facility will remain as a multipurpose sports center,” Anderson continued.

Kits Sports Center fell into disrepair thru the foreclosure process and was taken back by its lender, Byline Bank in October 2017. Since than Ela Soccer Club has been under contract and going through the due diligence process.

Major improvements to repair the facility are set to begin immediately with a grand opening date to be set in June. At that time the facility will be the home of the Ela Soccer Club offices and all of their indoor soccer training, indoor leagues and programs. All current Ela Soccer training, indoor leagues and programs will continue to operate out of the Mainstreet Sports Center until that date. The Lake Zurich Sportsplex will also be open to other teams and organizations to utilize.

Ela Soccer Club is a private 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with over 1,300 youth soccer players from the greater Ela Township area including Lake Zurich, Hawthorn Woods, Long Grove, Kildeer, Deer Park, North Barrington, Palatine, Mundelein, Barrington, Wauconda and surrounding areas.
